Colin’s Cabo Top 11

Mexico from Colin's point of view, with commentary from Mom and Dad

1. "Lizards and Guacamole!" : Two resort dweller iguanas stalked Dad's guacamole while he watched Colin go down the waterslide. The biggest iguana raced over and nabbed a big chunk of avocado, getting it stuck in his frill and then wiped it off on the plate. Colin saw all of this happen and laughed uproariously!
   
2. Making "Bar Friends": Colin made friends all around the resort who knew his name. Funny thing about being one of the only kids at the resort. (See #9)
   
3. Spanish: Colin learned "Me llamo Colin" and "Un momento por favor!"
   
4. Pool Buddies: Colin made friends with San Francisco brother Jack and Thomas and discovered new action figures like Sand Man, Star Wars droids, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man. He also had fun with Indiana twins Charlie and Max.
   
5. Discovering New Drinks: The Spiderman is a yummy strawberry smoothie with chocolate syrup poured on, thus resembling Spiderman.
   
6. Sea Gull Stalker: He watched as a seagull stalked Luke's uneaten pizza at the side of the pool. This big bird flew in for the robbery and then flew away with the pizza in his beak. Here's a comment direct from Colin's soul, not directed at anyone,"Oh, I wish I could fly!"
   
7. Picture Recap: Looking at pictures with mommy taken the night before by the resort staff: "Luke's crying in all of the pictures. He's cried everyday in Mexico." True, unfortunately.
   
8. Toy Story Diving Adventures: Playing with dive sticks and going down after them is so much fun, especially when the sticks are Buzz, Woody, and the alien.
   
9. Waterslide Adventures: Racing down the waterslide while onlookers and fellow slide participants cheered him on was super fun. He relished the attention, though unaware that many of the onlookers had been partaking of the bar for a majority of the afternoon and many were getting pretty giddy!
   
10. Crash!: A full week of pool play 8 hours a day took its toll. The last full day there he crashed for a self imposed mid-afternoon nap while the surf and sand lingered outside, begging him for just one more outing to the pool.
    
11. Buzz Lighty: Lastly, we can't forget Colin's creativity early one morning while the rest of us slept. He was so proud that he had stripped to his skivvies and had colored Buzz Lightyear's costume onto his body using his markers. He even wrote Buzz's name on his left wrist. He was so proud of himself that we just had to laugh!
